Unless you like your coffee black, drinking any kind of coffee beverage comes with added calories from lighteners, sweeteners, and flavorings. However, even the most fitness-minded among us may find it difficult to forgo that morning cup of Joe. If you are serious about losing or maintaining a healthy weight, those calories can add up quickly, especially if you have more than one drink per day (and let’s face it, most of us need an afternoon pick me up). Herbalife has added an exciting new drink mix that offers the best of both worlds for those of us needing both a caffeine fix and a good deal of protein in a drink that tastes great.
Coming in at 100 tiny calories, the Herbalife High Protein Iced Coffee provides a delicious alternative to commercially produced coffeehouse style drinks that are often loaded with empty sugars, calories, and fats. According to the Starbucks website, a Mocha Frappuccino clocks in at a whopping 280 calories and 2.5 grams of fat. By contrast, the High Protein Iced Coffee drink mix has 100 calories and provides 15 grams of protein, 80 mg of caffeine (only 15 mg less than a regular cup of coffee) and only 2 grams of sugar.
To make the delicious iced coffee drink, users simply add 2 scoops of the powder to water shake and pour over ice. The High Protein Iced Coffee drink mix is sold in a 12-ounce bag, which equates to 14 servings. The mix will initially be available in Mocha, but other flavors will be available soon.
The High Protein Iced Coffee shake mix comes as an addition to Herbalife’s stunning product line designed for those looking to maintain healthy lifestyles. These products, including the Herbalife24 line, are put through rigorous quality and purity testing by Herbalife to ensure they meet the demands of consumers. These products, all plant-based, include more than 150 botanical ingredients like soy, tea, or aloe. Today, Herbalife manufactures more than 65% of their products in-house, relying on 3rd parties for an ever-shrinking portion of products.
Herbalife enters the over $38 Billion coffee market based on customer demand and research that indicates shifting trends. Of people surveyed, more than 60% said they drink coffee daily. Iced Coffee and Iced coffee style beverages are an increasing portion of the total coffee drinks consumed in the US, with the bulk of drinkers being Millennials.
