Isn’t It Romantic (2019) Trailer

Set to release this month by Valentine’s Day February 2019, “Isn’t It Romantic” stars Rebel Wilson and Liam Hemsworth. In this romantic comedy (romcom), Rebel Wilson plays Natalie. At the beginning of the trailer, Natalie (a child then) is found watching the classic movie, Pretty Woman starring Julia Roberts. Read more: Cats Movies – Rebel Wilson  Casts as Jenny | Deadline

As she is watching she is interrupted by someone who tells her, “it’s just a movie. See Natalie, love’s not a fairy tale. Girls like us don’t get that.” Natalie replies, “but why?” she is then told, “well look in the mirror, doll. We’re no Julia Roberts.” This negative outlook about love carries through to her adult life.

The video cuts and moves on to 25 years later. Natalie is now an adult and is seen departing an elevator as she heads to her desk at work. She has a conversation with her co-workers about how Natalie feels about romantic comedies.

The video then switches to a scene where Natalie rides a subway train. A man waves at her and smiles while in the subway. After getting off, the man introduces himself to Natalie, he says his name is Jack. She replies with her name.

A brief silence comes between them, then Jack punches Natalie and grabs her purse. As Jack runs away with her purse, he slams into a garbage can, causing him to fall to the floor. Natalie then retrieves her purse from him and runs away. As she runs away she runs into the subway station’s steel beam hitting her head.

Rebel Wilson wakes up in the emergency room, but strangely sees the colors around her more vibrantly. After leaving the hospital, she rides a limo to her apartment. She comments, “it looks like someone put a beauty filter across New York City.” She calls 911 and tells them that someone has broken into her apartment and replaced everything with “much nicer stuff”. 911 hangs up on her has this was not deemed to be an emergency.

Later, she meets the character played by Liam Hemsworth. They interact and Liam Hemsworth has taken a liking to Natalie (Rebel Wilson). She then realizes that her life seemed to be stuck in a “romantic comedy” that’s rated “PG-13”. The video moves on to theatrical dancing.

Natalie then says that she has “to get a man to fall in love” with her. Theatrical dancing continues then cuts to a scene where the character that Priyanka Chopra plays meets a man named, Josh.

The trailer ends with Liam Hemsworth and Natalie interacting in her bedroom. It’s the morning after and the scene is repeated to indicate that Natalie does not want the scene to end.
